Bildschirmfoto 2016-06-07 um 17.15.13The Institute of Place Management (Place Branding SIG) is very pleased to announce its participation in the inaugural conference of the newly established International Place Branding Association, which will take place in London between 8th and 9th December 2016. The conference aims at bringing together participants from a wide spectrum of disciplines to discuss the present state and future prospects of place branding as well as its relation to place management and tourism planning. It will be an exciting event for anyone involved in place management and it will be very interesting for both scholars and practitioners.

The IPM will be organising a stream of paper presentations at the conference on the broad theme of the links between place branding, responsible tourism and wider place management and development. If your work relates to this broad theme or any other topic relevant to the IPM’s aims, please consider submitting an abstract. The deadline for abstract submission is 18 July 2016.

All relevant information can be found here: www.placebranding.org. Papers should be submitted following the conference guidelines. Please clearly indicate that your paper is intended for the ‘Place Management Track’.

Please contact Mihalis Kavaratzis (at: m.kavaratzis@le.ac.uk) for more information and any questions you might have.

Looking forward to seeing many of you in London!
